Electronics Hobby Club (EHC) is a non-profit and self-governing independent organization comprising of innovative individuals who currently belong to or have belonged to in the past to Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat (Assam). EHC plays various roles to supplement the overall development of its individual members and the institute.

Some of the identified roles are to:

  • Promote professional growth of its members by organizing formal talks, short courses, series of workshops and lectures on electronics and related topics, and informal talks by members to help them develop a well rounded personality.
  • Provide a forum to discuss wider issues of interest to the engineering profession and facilitate discussion, debate, and dialogue over these issues in a warm, friendly, and open atmosphere where individuals feel free to speak their personal views.
  • Develop JIST as a premiere institute of India in the field of electronics in specific and in science and technology in general and provide sincere service to JIST, to the people of India and the mankind in general through academic innovation and leadership.
